lyrics

i heard about this dude who faced the garrison of gender so far from home he did it all alone he lost himself in a natural state and all despite the darkness he knew the way and came into his own he wandered through the badlands and played himself a good hand he found a role he could finally control a single spark of misplaced trust lit his life on fire which left him cold and the world swallowed him whole but all we know is all too much when so little is said our hearts enjoin the thousand as we sigh and hang our heads all we feel is all too much as we all toss back our drinks waiting for the answers to come without needing to think i heard about this girl who wanted to rise from the mattress but the day was long and everything was wrong she was never her emotion but was always her addiction her strength had gone and all the more withdrawn she’d lived her days and nights as well as anyone could hope for she watched the world sniff and pass her by the sunlight peeking through the blinds cycled through her works she believed in the lie and still we all deny the fact that all we know is all too much when so little is said our hearts enjoin the thousand as we fly into our beds all we feel is all too much as we stay within our cliques any causes should suffice but we don’t get to pick take a side of the great divide spread it wide and tell it to the sky murder isn’t murder when god gets involved murder isn’t murder when money gets involved murder isn’t murder when lawyers get involved let the casualties pile ever up most remain unsolved anyone can look askance and claim to know the answers the limits though run deeper than we know maybe it just boils down to one survival at a time the status quo and the warmth of lying low but still then all we know is all too much when so little is said our hearts enjoin the thousand as we all aid and abet all we feel is all too much as we cry into the sink four steps forward two steps back and closer to the brink and all we know is all too much when so little is said our hearts enjoin the thousand as we sigh and hang our heads all we feel is all too much as we all toss back our drinks waiting for the answers to come without needing to think
